About Frankie Kay

I'm an author from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. I've written a novel, Silk Threads and a few short stories. Although Frankie is a pen name, she is the me who never grew up, the crazy kid who spoke to animals, talked to the wildflowers and asked awkward questions...I love: music, the silence..., distant horizons. I hate: crowds and spending money.

a refreshingly blunt short story that highlights the prejudices, anomalies and disappointments faced by both Jack and Jill.Kudos to the author for bringing to the fore issues that many people would not want to acknowledge let alone read about .Cant wait for another short story.

I can't say I enjoyed this as it was sad, angering and unfortunately expected. However the writing style is refreshing and vivid and for such a short story I really felt like I knew them both.

Haunting, sad, unexpected. All this and more in this short story. I have read Silk Threads, but this is very, very different.
