I received a copy of this ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Having read Lindy Spencer's first book, "The Boomerang Effect" and because I enjoyed it immensely, I didn't hesitate to say yes when Lindy asked me did I want to review her newest book "Between The Devil and the Darkness".

I'd been looking forward to reading this book ever since Lindy had told me that she was writing it, and once I got a copy of it onto my Kindle, I sat down and read it from beginning to end in one go.

"Between The Devil and the Darkness" is an anthology including an excerpt at the end from "The Boomerang Effect". (For those of us who didn't know what anthology meant: An anthology is a collection of literary works chosen by the compiler. It may be a collection of poems, short stories, plays, songs, or excerpts. In genre fiction anthology is used to categorize collections of shorter works such as short stories and short novels, usually collected into a single volume for publication.)

This collection of ten short stories is one of the best of seen and so far I've tried three anthologies and this is the only one I've actually finished. The other two just seemed amaturish in comparison - (I know, I know, everyone's opinion differs and this is just MY opinion)

What I liked: What I really enjoyed most was the fact that each story wasn't "too" short and they were packed full of detail. My favorite story was "The End...Or Is It?" I could feel how the main character felt - the panick, the horror of the situation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this story actually has a second part (are you paying attention here Lindy??)

What I disliked: That I now will have to wait impatiently until the lovely, crazy Lindy publishes her next book.

Who would I recommend this book to? Anyone age 16+. They're not graphically too much that they will cause extreme nightmares (well, they didn't for me, soooooo if you have nightmares, then blame the author :p )

"Between The Devil and the Darkness" has earned a whopping 5 stars from me and long may I stay a Spencer fan :D
