Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
A Sunstrike spin-off story. Clint behaves like a movie hero. He drives like Jason Statham, rides like John Wayne, and would fly like Top Gun if he ever tried. When he’s thrust into a major disaster, he reacts with confidence and style, leading others from danger and caring for the helpless. But despite his bravery, he can’t protect his family when a solar storm knocks out all technology. More

About Bev Robitai

Bev Robitai currently works as a writer, book coach, and freelance photographer in Auckland, New Zealand. She writes mostly light crime fiction, sometimes based in the theatre and sometimes straying into post-apocalyptic sci-fi. Her novel Murder in the Second Row was launched in June 2010 in a historic theatre that was also used as the setting for Body on the Stage. A decade of backstage experience gave her the raw material for both books and a third is under way.

A stand-alone novel Eye for an Eye is the tale of a quest for justice, inspired by the actions of a real-life conman whose trail of victims made the author angry enough to imagine retribution - in some very inventive ways...

The Sunstrike novels are set in a post-apocalyptic present day world when a major solar storm has wiped out all electrical technology. They are optimistic survival adventures following normal people learning and adapting to difficult new circumstances.

Review by: S Egneus on Dec. 09, 2013 :
A well written and funny story set in a serious situation that can very possible happen today. The hero is easy to cheer on and identify with and he copes with the situation he is in like a movie star! Having read Bev's first book, I know this is part of a bigger story but this can easily hold it's own. Loved it.
