Twas The Bite Before Christmas

Rated 2.33/5 based on 3 reviews
It was Christmas Eve night just like all the other Christmas Eve’s night before it, but this Christmas Eve night things were about to become ugly for Santa Claus.
As Santa was climbing down the chimney he climbed down one he should have passed by.
This chimney happened to be Castle Drac Von Stoller’s and the Count was in no mood for any visitors. More

Review by: Hobbe Noxious on May 19, 2015 :
A story filled with withered possibility. Paths contained within, all with brightly coloured neon signs, pointing the way to greatness.... all passed by, in favour of the muddy road leading to disappointment.
If you think about it, who would be the ultimate vampire? Santa Claus. A man able to essentially stop time, so he can travel the globe, to reach every house in one night. He could create endless night with the blink of an eye... and yet, in this story, he somehow forgets whose house he just landed on top of?
On top of all that, the whole story ends up feeling like a poor imitation of A Nightmare Before Christmas. No sir, I don't like it.

Review by: Jonathan Antony Strickland on Jan. 13, 2014 :
Like most of Drac's work this could do with a bit more depth. For example, why doesn't Santa and the vampire (who turns out to be Drac himself) have a bit more of a scrap. I mean Santa might be a jolly fat man who likes saying "Ho Ho Ho" a lot but at the end of the day his still a big alcoholic bastard who can pack a punch (all those mince pies and shots of sherry should mean it would take a lot more than a little hypnotic stare before old fat-boy gave in to old red eyes).

Still, this wasn't a bad read and the picture for the story (as with all Drac's stories) is fantastic.

Review by: Michael Carter on Jan. 09, 2014 :
This is perhaps the least-worst story of von Stoller's I have read. Santa meets Drac von Stoller; that's essentially it.

To be fair, the writing is a little better than I remember and the story might be good for reading out to small, nervous, pale, poorly kids who don't get out much.
