I have been a Certified Veterinary Assistant, working in the positions of receptionist, assistant manager and manager, for the past seventeen years.
I'm currently taking a break to raise my newborn daughter, but the vet world is always on my mind, so I decided to write about my experiences in the hopes of helping the next generation of Veterinary Assistants.

As a former Veterinary Assistant and Instructor of a Veterinary Hospital Assistant Program, this book touches base on all of the important aspects of being a veterinary assistant. There are many valuable points and tips in this book and I would recommend anyone aspiring to be a veterinary assistant to read it. I wish this book was available to me when I was instructing my program. It solidifies many important factors of the profession. It is relayed in an honest and professional manner. The author obviously has a lot of experience in the field and has summed up her experience perfectly. This book is worth it's weight in gold to anyone looking to get into this career. This is the most honest and thorough book I have read on this subject, to date. Congratulations to the author! The is a masterpiece for anyone wanting to know just what this career is all about!
