This book has it all. A little bit of mystery, intrigue, squabbling family members and an awesome love story which is happening in, around and behind all the other aspects of this story. I love island life because everyone knows each other and the gossip grapevines work extremely fast. There are rarely any secrets and I say rarely because a few of these residents are holding onto some pretty big ones. It's great the smart ass way Piper, West and Ben talk to each other. I had a few laugh out loud moments, as well as a few moments when I was reaching for a tissue. This is definitely a must read. Tracey Alvarez has captured the scenery perfect with her descriptions of the island. I can picture the island in my head like a movie. I can't wait to read book 2 which is Ben and Kezia's story.

In Too Deep was the first book I read by Tracey Alvarez but never got around to reviewing it at the time. I recently re-read it to remind myself of the story before starting the next book, Melting Into You. I was gripped from start to finish by Piper and West’s story, so much so that it was even better reading it a second time around!

In Too Deep is the story of a second chance romance between Piper and West. Piper is in the process of trying to make an important decision over where her future is heading, career wise after her heartbreaking history starts to have an impact on her present. Finally heading home, we start to understand Piper and Tracey Alvarez’s development of Piper tugs at your heart strings, at times, with how torn she is, especially when throwing her history with West into the equation.

Although the characters have history, I liked how the author was able to carry their tension through the story, while also capturing their chemistry, and actually dealing with their issues, rather than just sweeping them aside and moving the characters forward to a happy place. The dual points of views also strengthen this story further; it was great to see both Piper and West’s troubles from both their points of views.

The descriptions of the locations were very vivid and enhanced this story further. I felt In Too Deep was well paced, with a unique storyline on what could be seen as a ‘typical second chance romance’ story; I definitely couldn’t predict where the story would end up., The HEA gave Piper and West’s story a well rounded finish with no cliffhanger. This story can be read as a standalone romance story or part of the series.

I received a copy of this book from Librarything.com in exchange for an honest review.

It was a good story. The diver aspect was a different twist to the romance storyline from my perspective. I enjoyed the love story between Piper and West. Piper's brother Ben irritated me to no end - I wanted to throttle him numerous times. The subplots were intriguing and added to the story's depth. Perhaps at times, in my opinion, the story dragged a bit and I thought a few of those elements could have been removed. But overall it was good.

I found other characters in the book were also well developed and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I can see this series running with a lot of different characters and story lines! I recommend this book for anyone that is looking for a steamy summer romance!

It's great to see a contemporary NZ-based read, with characters that are so instantly endearing and fleshed-out. Tracey Alvarez has created a stunning visual of NZ by her words, which can't help but draw more people to an exceptionally beautiful country, and can't I wait for the next book. Thanks Tracey!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this debut novel from beginning to end. I was endeared to Piper and felt like I was a part of the story instead of reading it. The storyline was well thought out and all characters were well developed. I cannot wait to read more from this author.

I checked my inbox and discovered this read I won from librarything, and I have to tell you I glanced at it even though I have a mountain of books to be read before this one. I got hooked and couldn't stop reading, and loved it. It's about a girl who works for the police diving team, they search for lost ones in water. Well her history is that she was a spotter for her father when he free dove, and he died. She had been distracted because she had been dumped the night before. Ten years ahead, her brother over mortgages a business and is threatened to lose it. She goes back to help him save it by doing the dives for him since he broke his leg. Piper see's the man who dumped her the day before her father died. Ryan westlake is the man she still compares all men to, and between the animosity and the anger we still see the attraction. They have dangerous chemistry and it was great to see it come together. Thanks librarything and this author for a great read!
