Reviews of Turn the Souls by Ron Knight

The plot of Turn the Souls is interesting but the lack of editing makes it difficult to read. The writer has broken about every rule of writing there is. The dialog comes across as stiff and unnatural. Much of the narration is as if someone offstage has just injected a comment instead of being attributed to a character's point of view. The writer switches from past to present randomly. The story is retold from multiple characters' points of view and the same details are rehashed in each retelling.

Turn the Souls has a clever but improbable plot. The lack of editing leaves it down right terrible.
The situations and location seem contrived just to make the plot work. Can you imagine a fifteen story building where only seventy-two people work? Or a supply room in a huge basement that has only one access and that is down an unusually narrow and steep stairway and has multiple locked security doors to reach it? The whole thing is unrealistic.
