Amanda Cerreto grew up with a love of books and an appreciation for anything that could lead to a story. After reading Harriet the Spy, she camped out in various parts of her neighborhood, writing down minute details about her neighbors' activities. She often brewed up several short stories based on their mundane activities, like going to the post office. In college, she majored in literature and took a creative writing course as an elective. It was here that her love for writing was reborn, and when she began to seriously think of writing a novel. After college, she went on to earn her MA in English with an emphasis on creative writing.
Cerreto has written and published several non-fiction pieces, including an article for the VA about her father's military service. Fall From Grace will be her first published novel, though countless others are unpublished - because, as she put it, "They are far too self indulgent to be taken seriously. This is one of the first books without my own agenda behind it."
