Unsustainable Population

Rated 4.00/5 based on 1 reviews
The book attempts to put the issue of sustainable population on the political agenda. Global warming, species extinction and migration pressure arise when seven billion people occupy a planet that may only sustain two billion. Anti-immigrant feelings, the Arab Spring and wars in Africa and Syria may be consequences of the birth rate. Options are considered for six countries. More

People & oil
Population control (7 billion, 2013, woman’s choice), wouldn’t that be nice in all countries. Food production another great point. Per capita energy consumption.
I wasn’t aware of how serious global warming is until my son explained it to me in the summer of 2013.
Other weather catastrophes (hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis, floods, drought, famine, displacement) that wreak havoc on cities/towns. What about plants & animals? How many do not pollenate or go extinct every year? & new germs/disease (strands, epidemics) what we do about them? Immigration/migration what turmoil does that produce (war, pestilence, famine, mental illness, medical issues…)?
Humans, other animals, plants
Migration & conflict
Women’s choices
A-Z of sustainability
Great starter list.
Very impressive resume.
Cool book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written fact finding report (book). It was very easy to read/follow & never a dull moment from start/finish. No grammar errors, repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Not sure this was APA style. This could be a great documentary or TV series. It was very easy for me to rate this report (book) at 5 stars.
Thank you for the free short story (book)
