Recently Updated:

Dragons: A Historical Guide: completely updated with many new artifact photos and added content that uncovers more exciting facts about those legendary creatures...

Dreamstone: per reader feedback, I am giving this book a complete makeover... less romance and more sci-fi action and adventure. If the book sounds interesting, you may want wait to download it until I release a newer version by the end of the year (2018).

I just recently released a full color rhyming children's book: The Dragon Egg That Rolled Away. Unfortunately the compressed version is still too large to download into Smashwords, so for now, it's only available on Amazon in print form.

If you are looking for my adult 18+ books:

Since I write both children's books and erotica, I am in the process of separating my accounts so that someone doesn't accidentally purchase and adult book for a younger reader. To achieve this, my adult books will be penned under the name "Hugh Bennington", while all other works will remain "Ben L. Hughes".

The bio picture is of my son and I heading up the 4x4 road to the top of Mount Antero, Colorado.

Review by: Barbara Alsop on Jan. 29, 2014 :
Another gem in this series! New dragons and a new friend add spice to what was already a good start in A Dragon Named Splinter. It is also something of a how-to book on the care and feeding of baby dragons. Altogether a charming story about kids and learning that no law is hard and fast.
