About Kate Gray

Born and raised in New England, Kate Gray has a degree in Classical Archaeology from UNC Chapel Hill. Her love of history and sociology are the two biggest influences on her writing, followed shortly by a love of all things magical and fantastic.
In fact, it was being given the first few Harry Potter books (from children she was nannying at the time), that reawakened the desire to find the magic in our own world. It may not be as easy to see, or accomplish the same feats as that which comes from the wave of a wand - but it's out there.

Kate lives in New England with her Minnesotan husband, and their two wild boys.
