The Hunter taught his daughter, Rina, to walk. Rina grew up & headed for Perga's (witch) hovel (room in a hill). The Icit (creature of snow/ice) might have taken the Hunter. Rina gets some magic stones Perga & heads toward Ruchk where she encounters a wolf who is traped. Rina saves him.
Who will Rina encounter next on the journey? Will she save her father from the Icit?
What a delightful older teen tale (short story). Very easy for me to rate it at 5 stars.
