Review by: Kale Cronkite on Feb. 6, 2014 :
My first John Locke read and I don’t know how he does it; after 23 books in five years (if my calcs are right, its one book every 11 weeks!), he still manages to captivate the reader (in this case me) with an immense tempo in the story line – it literally doesn't stop until the end. TV soapies these days propagate the signifier ‘real actors’, and likewise in this book, the characters or 'real' actors actually do the talking; very little story-telling. Some of the intimate scenes are somewhat over the top, but I suppose mundane romps must make way for Dani's untiring quests, very vividly enacted - wonder if its physically possible! Although not generally a chiclit fan, its a great read and I support it!
