Sherry Wood grew up in The South, but it was when she moved to Chicago that she began to write novels. She experienced the darker side of Boys Town, falling in love with a male prostitute. Her first novel Everyone Is Chuckers is based on exactly that. She has since written 20 more books, including the paranormal thriller, Suzanne Degnan. She also wrote the novella Little Gold Chain in 48 hours, during Hurricane Sandy, and revised and edited it in one week. The Scorpion, her most popular eBook, is now a series.

I wasted time on this book. I could not follow the book at all because of the story being chopped up. It felt like I was on drugs..... I think she was actually in Kansas. Why did she go from running out in the street to then being in the hospital and sister dying.... it was like it was going back and forth and that the entire story was a dream she made up while strung up on meth....
