About Thomas Kelly

I am an author from Minnesota. I like to spend time with my kids and write stories. I have always liked to make things up and I decided to write them down, I guess type them out. Turns out that I really like to write. I hope you like to read my stories as much as I like to write them.

Review by: David Wittlinger on Nov. 07, 2014 :
I'm a new author myself, so don't want to slam this book or author Thomas Kelly. There's a good story here but it gets bound up in several problematic ways. First, I'm not sure the story knows what it wants to be. Teen romance? 1980s summer camp horror movie? Erotica? Thriller? It has elements of all these genres yet stumbles from one to the next. By the time the shocking ending rolled around I was more confused than enthralled. It does have a good surprise ending, but leading up to it are paragraphs and chapters of "info dumping". The author goes into great detail to describe things like rest room buildings and who-moved-from-here-to-there descriptions, but the intricate details are completely unnecessary and detract from the overall story. Additionally, grammatical errors abound in the first few chapters then suddenly disappear in the remaining pages. The author (and story) have promise, but the assistance of a good editor would have earned this book several more stars from this reviewer.
