Thought that your approach to "Long Road to California" was very perceptive and well done. My mother's family followed that road and I felt that you had done a workmanlike presentation. Thanks for the memories. My mother was born in 1920 and I am now almost 70. Thanks!

A well written, surprisingly moving story of family ties and missed chances. I enjoyed the story of the grandmother’s Dust Bowl migration: what a great character, she made me miss my own grandparents. Recommend it!

An engaging, poignant story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I especially appreciated being reminded of my blessings, and of the sport references. Descriptive prose highlights the rugged beauty of past and present as the underlying tenderness of love weaves throughout the narratives. Highly recommended.
