About Emmy Jackson

After going to college and pursuing a very sensible career in marketing, I chucked all of that out the window and decided to become a freelance writer instead. I've been doing fiction and automotive journalism for over a decade now, getting paid for the latter and mostly hiding the former in dark corners of my hard drive. Recently, they have begun to creep out into the real world. Because I am hopelessly addicted to things that go, I currently live in a 36' motorhome and wander around the U.S. and Canada at will, traveling with an adorable-but-dumb cat and my soulmate, who shoots people in the face for a living.

Review by: Jack Spothwell on Sep. 30, 2009 :
I thoroughly enjoyed the wild ride Red over Black is and look forward to more of Emmy Jackson's writing. Red over Black is a little bit of 'down the rabbit hole' and a lot of adventure with an incredibly real cast of characters to guide you through the action-packed story.

Very few stories give the reader as intimate a glimpse into the mind of a character as real as Lexi Crane. I found myself lost in her thoughts more often then my own while reading Red over Black. From the loss of her soul mate to her rather unorthodox journey to deal with that loss, there was never a moment where I could not wait to turn the page. I would definitely read more of Lexi.
