Holy mother of all things dark and twisted!! I'm really kicking myself for not reading this one sooner. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Kidnapping, rape and violent punishment is how courtesans are made and Rebecca finds that out the hard way when she encounters Aiden. Aiden is paid to acquire and train essentially slaves and he's very good at what he does. But he quickly learns that Rebecca is different than the others he's broken before her. Will he be able to let her go or will he break his own rules and keep her for his own?

This was one messed up ride.
From the outset, I’m going to tell you why this only got four instead of five stars. Because I enjoyed it/was intrigued by it enough for a five star rating. It’s pretty simple: there were too many typos, and this could really benefit from a more thorough proofreading. Unfortunately that does affect my enjoyment of a book – and in ARCs, I will ignore it, trusting that it will be proofread before publishing. But when I purchase a book, I do have to comment. Anyway, enough with my gripe. Onto the good bits.
I had to create a new shelf under ‘degradation’ for this, because humiliation just wasn’t cutting it. This is the darkest book I’ve ever read that isn’t part of the horror genre. And not only is it the darkest – by far – but it’s also probably one of the hottest, wonderfully fulfilling that fantasy many of us have at the back of our minds. Aiden was messed up. Rebecca was messed up. The sex was messed up. And yet when I was reading this book, I just could not put it down. Although it’s slightly more difficult to get hold of because the idiots at Amazon banned it, I’d absolutely recommend hunting a copy down on Smashwords if you’re a fan of the dark genre. This won’t disappoint.
Above all, what I found the most intriguing about this was that Aiden isn’t a hero. And he can’t be described as an anti-hero either. He’s vile, awful and a liar, and still manages to be utterly compelling. I commend Lily White for writing such a character, and not falling into the typical happily ever after trap with all the loose ends tied up neatly.
This is messy and raw. And oh-so-brilliant.

This books was wow I needed a minute to let my head stop spinning before I wrote this review. I had a hard time purchasing this book I don't know why it's not on amazon or ARe. Aiden is a Master he also kidnaps and trains slaves for rich clients. Aiden kidnaps Rebecca for a client who likes to have sex with slaves as they are dying. Aiden didn't count on Rebecca's strong will and his inability to break her. Aiden is a sadist this was a really good book one that I have wanted to read for awhile. Rebecca doesn't know what to think she knows that she is attracted to Aiden she knows that unless she finds away to make him want to keep her she will be sold to a monster and he really was a monster. Aiden tries hard to break her including giving her to a man that she knows the boy that she gave her virginity to his father who is a member another Master who told her about the video of her losing it that was past around. I think that Rebecca was a masochist, because of how she reacted and the fact that she never had an orgasm with any of her boyfriends. Rebecca agrees to help Aiden kidnap her best friend to replace her and she gets jealous he even gets her to beat her friend. He sells her and her best friend to the Duke who already has slaves that he treats really bad and kills them and feed the bodies to the dogs this was a really good book. This book was well written with no errors in spelling or grammar. If you like reading dark erotic books then this book is for you.

The book warns you going in that it's not a love story. And it's not, though love plays a part in some of the characters' motivations.
I enjoyed the story. It's dark and disturbing, erotic in a terribly non-consensual way. It's what it's supposed to be. I do feel like it needs an edit. There were a number of places where my internal editor wanted to correct some minor issues. They didn't take me out of the story too much, but they did a little, particularly in the beginning.
The ending is very satisfying and the ups and downs of the characters' relationships were done very well.
I'll read more from this author.

Well, this is a disaster! This book is only formatted for Kindle so I couldn't read it until someone at Smashwords helped me out. Smashwords converts automatically to epub, pdf, etc etc which I can read so I don't see why the author has disabled other formats.
I read the first third and it wasn't my sort of story. It's cruel and I like my erotica with a dash of romance. The writing's fine, I just don't like the story.

I am not really sure how to review this book. It has been about a week since I finished reading it and it took me a little linger to read it than most books. Too say that it is shocking is way past what it is. It is disheartening, sad and just wrong on so many levels. I will say that 's White has quite an imagination and is very good at spinning a tale. I really did not like the story tho, I fond the way this man behaves is repulsive. Who made him God, to decide to take a girl who had what seemed to be a perfectly fine life with a great future ahead of her. I know there are men out there who feel this aT about women. He says all women have an inner who're waiting to come out. That may be true, but we want it to come out for someone we live, who respects us and loves us back. Wow, he is so conceited, arrogant and disrespectful. I kept saying to myself, get a frying pan, a knife, something, fight back! What is there to love about him, he is not loveable. He lies to her and manipulates her. Why would any man think, that a woman would rather submit to him sexually, never leave his house, not have any friends or family? Most women are social creatures. We need other people around us. We need our freedom. We need to shop, have lunch with friends and yes, even work. This book made me mad and I don't think it is right to romanticize these types of books. I can't believe I listened to so many people who said it was a great book, spent my money on it and took the time to read it. I must say, I understand why Amazon banned it, but there are so many other books that they sell that are just as bad or worse than this. It is just disturbing on so many levels.

I had to buy this one on Smashwords because it has been pulled from Amazon...censorship is alive and well on there unfortunately. REALLY...this is seriously a very powerful and twisted type of book but it is extremely interesting and very different from the usual kidnapped into slavery type novel. Everything is original especially the reactions by Rebecca to Aiden and all the unexpected surprises and turns this book takes towards the final scenes. Not an easy book to read and definitely not for the squeamish or those who can't handle descriptions of brutality and sexual acts that are both mentally and physically abusive. You almost want to be sick, but can't stop reading in hopes that it gets better or something good will come out ot it. Your HEA is not what you think and this one will stay with you long after it's done.
*****5***** deeply disturbing stars
