I am a Medical Doctor, Published Author, Certified Counsellor, Official Translator, Literary Editor, Expert and Trainer on: How To Survive Attacks For People With Lesser Muscle. I'm also a kickboxing, Tai Chi, and Muay Thai practitioner, scuba diver, and mother of one. My sci-fi pentology is in Turkish, the language of my country. The Perfect Book to Help Gain the Confidence to Say “Never Again”

Fear is natural – we were given this tool for self-preservation and protection. However, gone unchecked it can control us and make us vulnerable and susceptible to intimidation and abuse. Unfortunately, most people do not know how fear works let alone how to manage it before fear manages them, and this commonly leads to a life filled with intimidation, harassment and even abuse and violence.

In the book Doctor Your Fear and Avoid Abuse, Dr. Ozlem Kurdoglu explores the causes of fear leading to abuse and provides several approaches for individuals to take to both defend themselves. Kurdoglu shares methods to avoid becoming a victim and what to do when threats emerge that can help de-escalate the situation.

What I found to be of special interest was the exploration of brain functions and how they trigger emotions within both the victim and the attacker or abuser. By understanding what makes the systems in our bodies work, we have a better chance at controlling those functions and finding ways to avoid becoming the victim in many situations.

Finally, Dr. Kurdoglu explores several ways to defend oneself when we may find ourselves in a potentially threatening situation. By understanding a few basic approaches – to both de-escalate the situation and to defend ourselves should the need arise – we can better protect ourselves from the threats of physical, mental and emotional harm.

Overall a great book with great advice. I recommend this to anyone looking for ways to gain greater confidence and avoid intimidation from others.

Incredible from start to finish! Doctor Your Fear and Avoid Abuse will help to keep you safe. It will teach you the secrets to avoiding violent confrontations 95% of the time. In the unfortunate event that it does happen, it will show you how to escape the situation with minimal trauma. The author undoubtedly is an expert on self-defense. In Chapter 17, Dr. Ozlem Kurdoglu explains the 10 basic moves to protect yourself. Many of them will temporarily disable your attacker, giving you time to get away. Each one comes with a picture to fully illustrate the technique. With that said, this book goes way beyond basic technique. It will show you how to present yourself in a way in which you will be less likely to be perceived as easy prey and how to overcome fear. The author is a woman living in Turkey with a fresh, original perspective. I found this book to be empowering and inspirational. Highly recommended!

I was in an abusive relationship for almost two years and simply didn't know how to get out from it! With the help of my friends and family I finally managed to overcome it but the problem remained within me - I simply didn't know how to deal with it on my own... I stumbled upon 'Doctor Your Fear and Avoid Abuse' , got it immediately and read in one sitting! I finally understood that the problem started and ended in the same place - in my head! I feel that I'll be more confident now and I couldn't be happier that I've found this book. 5 Stars!

My name is Valerie Greene, i am a very shy person, and i have been in past relationships whereby my partners were very outspoken, i never realized why i was never able to stand up for myself or face my own demons, i always made excuses for myself that 'i am not strong enough', i got referred to this eBook by my closest friend who knew i was never happy and i was mainly oppressed and abused by my ex fiance, i received half of this book which i had read but some parts were missing so i came here purchased it, and finished reading it, the first realization i got from this book is that i do not have to be physically stronger than him, there are certain methods listed in this book that i recommend to anybody facing traumas and abuse, can follow which can help you find true inner peace and happiness, trust me you also deserve to be happy and the best part about this is the main book comes with a subsidiary booklet with physical signs which can guide you along with two languages mainly English and Turkish. thank you Dr Ozlem you have given me hope again
