The "Unmasking" delves into the uncertainty issues of unplanned parenthood, trusting love, men/women fearing honest communication. It's a young mothers courage, a teachers compassion to go the extra mile for a former student, and more, all set in vivid descriptions of lively colorful New Orleans.

The Unmasking grabbed my attention and didn’t let it go until the last page was read. Bethany is living in New Orleans with her young daughter and has a chance meeting with Justin, who was her whole world until they parted a few years earlier. Both of them do some soul-searching as they spend time together in the exciting weeks leading up to the Mardi Gras celebration. Emilie Richards fans will enjoy this story with its intriguing New Orleans backdrop.

Mardi Gras, masks, love lost, and found again. On a snowy winter day, I really enjoyed journeying to New Orleans, to meet Bethany and Abby, and experience an insider's view of the festivities. This book had me entranced, as I cheered for Justin and Bethany, hoping they could find their way to becoming a family.
