I very much enjoyed this book, and the main character has massive potential--- so does the writer. I very much encourage people to download this book and read it.

However, the writing is horrid; the writing is worse than horrid. I apologize for putting this so bluntly, but it is the job of writers to know the craft before they present their work to readers.

For starters, the punctuation is abominable. At least 20% the book's sentences are "run-on sentences," filled with seemingly random punctuation, and a great many of these sentences are dangling participles. Commas are used where colons are necessary; commas are used when parenthetical elements ("---") are meant.

For another example, the writer appears to not know what the two words "than" and "then" mean. (Hint: two totally different things.)

Another example: many sentences are missing words. An editor's job is to find those, and fix the gaps; it's the job of the writer to find them first.

Another example, in several places the tense changes. Most of the book is in (proper) past tense, but several sentences show up in present tense. The story became incomprehensible when the tenses changed.

It is my hope that the writer will continue to write, and that people will read her work.

Brilliant read, very engaging I couldn't put it down and want the next one. A great family friendly story, adventure, suspense and friendship with just the right amount of magic thrown in.
