About Alison Gillespie

Alison Gillespie is an urban science and nature writer who lives just outside of Washington, DC. She often writes about the challenges of protecting the environment, providing healthy green spaces, and creating wildlife habitat within cities experiencing economic renewal and rebirth, as well as the joy of interacting with nature in unexpected locations. In addition to writing about urban nature she enjoys teaching people how to plant wildlife gardens on small city lots.
