About Ellen Kagan

Ellen Kagan has been a health activist since 1994. From 1995 to 2008, she was the HOST/PRODUCER of the public access tv series, Your Health Care:Choice or Chance?, a health education program, which aired throughout Massachusetts and in parts of Maine. It was also a call-in radio show on the award-winning station, WATD, 95.9 F.M, in Marshfield, Massachusetts.

A veritable who's who in government, business and healthcare were guests. They included former Governor Michael Dukakis; former Mass. First Lady Kitty Dukakis; Arnold Relman, M.D, former Editor-In-Chief of the New England Journal of Medicine; Howard Koh, M.D, former Mass. Commissioner of Public Health and Bernard Lown, M.D, Nobel Laureate and world-renowned cardiologist, to name a few.

Ellen ended these projects to write ELLEN IN MEDICALAND:TRUE STORIES OF HOW I FELL DOWN MEDICINE'S BLACK HOLE AND STILL LIVED AFTER ALL, which is also on Kindle. Prior to her health care involvement, Ellen was a Stockbroker at E.F. Hutton in Manhattan; a Financial Planner and Real Estate Broker in Boston; and the President of Kagan Associates, a telemarketing company in Boston. Ellen received her B.A in American History from Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut; her M.Ed from Northeastern University in Boston; and two Masters Degrees from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles: City Planning and Public Administration.
