The Aging Athlete - Inspirational Interviews With Some of the Fittest Survivors of Elite Athleticism

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
"The concept is provocative. It is somehow counterintuitive to think of great athletes becoming unfit in old age. The recent suit brought against the NFL by former players indicates the fitness and health can erode all too quickly. The aging pursuers of fitness featured in 'The Aging Athlete' are the exceptions. We can learn from their own stories of perseverance." Tom Jones,

I loved reading The Aging Athlete. Sifu Slim writes very well and is able to make his interviews with these extraordinary gentlemen both entertaining, inspiring, and relevant to his central thesis--that wellness must address both respect for the body and its limitations--at all ages. Too often the competitive athlete actuially hurts their bodies in sometimes permanent ways. Sifu Slim has good solutions for this and is a voice that we all need to listen to.
