About Jonathan M. Mumbi

Rev. Dr. Jonathan M. Mumbi is an ordained Bishop of the Church of God (Zambia), a denomination under the Church of God, Cleveland Tennessee, USA. He serves a long secondment to YWAM, a missionary movement in which he has served at various levels of leadership. His passion is to empower young people through Christian tertiary education. He holds four graduate degrees (Ph.D Psychology/Christian Counseling, MA/Christian Education, MA Christian Ministries and a Graduate Diploma in Community Development) and self identifies as a Pastoral Counselor and trainer.

Bishop Mumbi is married to Mrs. Jean C Mumbi and they have two grown up sons, a daughter-in-law, one teenage daughter, and a granddaughter. The Mumbis have been in voluntary missions since 1992. Jonathan has traveled abroad in the course of ministry and training. He has been to 12 African countries and every continent (except Antarctica). He would like to visit the Bible lands, China, South Korea, and Japan, for a deeper appreciation of the global village this world has become.
