A product of small town New Zealand, Geoffrey went to sea at sixteen. After ten years wandering a wider world on NZ and Norwegian cargo ships he returned to NZ for deck officers examinations, but faster travel appealed and he gained a Commercial Pilot’s licence in 1967.
Over thirty years he's flown bi-planes to wide body jetliners. He’s lived and worked in places diverse as Port Moresby, Port of Spain, Jeddah and Johannesburg during his travels. After 40 expatriate years he returned home in 1997 to farm deer. He now lives on a lifestyle property where he indulges urges to write and talk to animals.
