This story, full of amazing imagery, takes the reader on a journey through romantic reminiscence, then pulls deeper into a magical world of self-realization. The detailed prose work well as a nice contrast to Hemingway's own basic style. This is a great read that I highly recommend.

Debra J. Rigas is one of those rare authors who can immerse you in a bath of words, and let you enjoy a long, hot, relaxing soak. I would call her a sensual writer in that every visual detail, every smell, every emotion washes over you as you read - observations that you always wanted to note but could never find the words for. This is a wonderful take on Hemmingway, the ideally rounded man and a life that so many of us still find captivating.

I read this on a stormy, rainy, Texas night. The story took me away from all that was happening and transported me into a magical world, an exciting Key West adventure. This is an excellent read!

Bravo! This is a wonderful story that transported me to another place & time. I felt like it was me wandering around Key West, talking to Hemingway, lucent dreaming if you will.

And it includes a bonus—Ignore your critics! whoever they are.

Papa was right.

Take a long, leisurely trip out onto Key West with this story, past the Spanish moss, palmetto and magnolias. Wave to Papa Hemingway and Tennessee as you pass them along the side of road, sweating a bit in the sultry late afternoon. Where this tale takes you will be like a tall, icy mint julep at the end of the journey; cool, refreshing, mellow, the taste lingering long after you're finished.
