About Kevin McQueeney

Kevin McQueeney is a graduate student in the Department of History at the University of New Orleans, with a concentration in Public History. His research focuses on the African American park experience in late 19th and early 20th century New Orleans, exploring the segregation and desegregation of the city’s public parks, the creation of Black parks, and the use of parks to form identity and claim a part of the public space.
