What a great book! I simply couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. The characters are hilarious, dogs included (here's looking at you Spike!), and the more things go wrong the funnier things get. This is going to be my summer 2014 feel good read, and it should be yours too!

I read Samantha David's latest in one go with only the occasional stop for sustenance and ablutions. It caught me up from the first in the chaotic, poignant world of the heroine, Rosie and her extraordinary doggie rich life. If you like dogs you'll love the way they are woven through this tale. Now, we all know Samantha David is no sadist - she'll give us the obligatory happy ending - but in the process she takes us along a twisty path with pathos, fun and not a few surprises. As Gene Pitney once crooned, "true love never runs smooth" - In the Doghouse, for sure! A truly engaging read, thanks SD.
