Finally! A well-written thriller that's genuinely unique and unlike all of the other mainstream, generic garbage being released these days. Tony Hart-Wilden has seemingly mastered the craft when it comes to writing thrillers that keep you on the edge from start to finish with many well-executed twists and turns. What I personally admire about this book is the horror/paranormal element, it's not over-the-top or to the point that it takes away from the thriller side of the book, but it definitely adds a new layer and vibe of suspense to the read that compliments the overall unique feel that can be found from start to finish in One Second To Midnight. The protagonist, Vincent Anderson, really stood out to me due to the vivid writing style that is used to express his interactions and dialogue with other characters throughout the book - the author knows how to make the characters seem almost real and life-like, without bogging down the reader with too many details and words. The battles at Stonehenge and Dracula's castle are awesome and I'm sure even the most critical readers out there will love the raw, action-packed nature of such scenes that can be found in this book essentially from start to finish; the momentum of the book keeps up at a smooth, face pace - and though there were a few minor 'bumpy' bits, I know for sure that this won't be the last book that I read by the author.

Overall, I give this book 4/5 stars. There were a few parts I skipped over, but other than that, the book is DEFINITELY worth the read if you're an avid thriller fan/reader that is looking for a unique perspective and twist to the genre.

In One Second to Midnight, Tony Hart-Wilden introduces us to Vincent Anderson, a super agent with a rather unique set of skills. His niche is killing things that are already dead. After a monster slaughtered his entire family, Vincent has been on a mission of vengeance, bringing bloody retribution the things that go bump in the night. If you like dark stories that include personal anguish and monsters, you’ll love this book.

This book was a very interesting supernatural thriller. It had many twists and turns that I wasn't expecting, and it worked together beautifully. The author's writing style is what stole the show for me, as I can't see any other style being able to integrate so many facets into a novel and make it work. I look forward to reading more from Hart-Wilden, as he has this genre nailed.

One Second To Midnight is a compelling supernatural thriller that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. Vincent Anderson has a murder mystery to solve that hit him way too close to home one holiday season - but will he find even more than he bargained for?

Expertly written, this novel takes the reader around the world in a slew of mystery, intrigue, death and danger. If you're a fan of the thriller genre with some horror elements, you'll love One Second To Midnight.

The Midnight Man is a hero to really get behind as he set out on a mission of revenge - he's very likeable and you definitely find yourself rooting for him to succeed.
The story takes place in several (realistic!) settings which have clearly been researched to a high degree as the added details really set the scenes.
If you guess the ending, you'll do better than me and this suspense right up until the end make the book a great page-turner.
