About T Hammond

T. Hammond lives in Western WA State with her bi-color German shepherd, Molly (aka: Sater-Nordlicht Hot Tamale v. Wil-bar), and a dozen freshwater fish. Her pets have yet to start a conversation in her mind, but Molly is pretty adept at head tilts and sign language.

T feels that writing is not a calling so much as it is a compulsion. No one is more surprised than she is when characters take over the plot and dialog, (re)directing stories in directions she had not (consciously) intended. Although she starts out each novel with a basic outline, she finds that one or two chapters into the novels, not only have the characters shredded her outline into tiny unidentifiable pieces, they use the resulting confetti in a nose-thumbing parade. She is fully convinced the writer is the tool a story uses to tell its tale.

Review for Blind Seduction by T. Hammond

Blind Seduction is the first of a series of novels called The Team Red Series, and it’s the “universe builder” for the series. We meet main character Teresa and her friend Janey as they tend the birth of a litter of puppies; Janey is a breeder and Teresa is helping her. A few hours later, Teresa suffers a terrible accident which leaves her blind. As she recovers, Janey brings her one of the German Shepherd puppies, and Teresa discovers that she can hear the dog’s thoughts and converse with him! His name is Red, and he is adorably smart and witty. The love interests in the story soon arrive, in the characters of Sebastian and David. Sebastian is Janey’s ex-military brother, and David is his best friend from the military. They are both hunks.

This story is definitely enjoyable; it is a fast read with witty dialogue and a deliciously sexy scenes. I definitely leaves the reader wanting to see what future adventures Team Red will get into. My favorite character, of course, was Red. I also liked the idea that the heroine is blind, and yet so positive and ready to tackle the world.

What could have been better? The love conflict resolved itself too easily, and so did the mystery.

I have read both versions of this book, and I love both equally. Writing is great, characters are wonderful, my favorite is Red, of course. The book ended with me wishing my dog could speak to me. Looking forward to the next installment in the series. You will not regret buying this book, or anything this author writes.

This book tells a story about a woman named Teresa. After a terrible accident that results in Teresa losing her sight,

Teresa is trying to move on with her life when an amazing surprise comes to her door. A German shepherd named Red. She finally gets a dog she had wanted since before the accident and not only is he cute and loyal, but he can do something that other dogs could only dream to do: he can speak to Teresa in her mind.

What happens when you add a beautiful woman with a sassy and opinionated dog? Well let's just say be careful what you say around the dog, he repeats everything! As more people realize Teresa's gift to hear Red, many think she can help make a difference if she uses her power's to help others like the police department.

Not only does this book have a relatable woman with enough charm to keep you entertained for hours but when you add a talking dog to the mix you will laugh for hours with tears in your eyes.

Let's not forget the two gorgeous men that are seeking her affection creating steamy and wonderful scenes that will leave you drooling. This book was brilliant and I couldn't put it down. I love how the characters, especially Teresa, are relatable to the reader and you can feel the emotion in the book.

You learn important lessons reading about Teresa's life after the accident and see how a dog and a witty woman is a truly an amazing idea to make a book about. This book will keep you smiling, laughing, and reading for hours.

I highly recommend this book!!

Key Plot Elements: strong woman learning to trust herself, and thrive, after a life-altering trauma; a sweet and intuitive German shepherd not-quite-puppy; paranormal in that the woman can hear the dog talk; a vibrant cast of personalities, including a competition between two sexy sailors; a hint at some very interesting technology; humor; adult language and scenes.

The first novel in Tina Hammond’s Team Red series does a fantastic job opening up the world of Teresa March, both in the pages, and in the protagonist’s mind. Tina’s style is relaxed, and conversational; you feel as though you are sharing a cup of coffee with Teresa, and making a new friend.

Blinded in a freak accident, with the help of friends, and through the surprising gift of communication with her assistant dog, Teresa begins to rebuild her life into something more satisfying than she could have ever imagined. Poignant moments are laced, liberally, with humor, lest we get too serious.

While there is a simple but strong paranormal element (i.e. talking dog), and a good amount of sexy thanks to the sailor’s involvement, Blind Seduction’s backbone is woven with courage and progress. I appreciated the honest and realistic portrayal of how Teresa was able to leave behind a self-admitted “pity party” and embrace life again, showing resilience through the inevitable disappointments. Finally, as Teresa adjusts to her new normal, growing confidence becomes a catalyst opening new opportunities for life and love.

Book ends with a satisfying close, completing all but one of the open plot threads, while still leaving a great stage from which the next book in the series can pick up. Great read!
