Wow, I feel quite privileged to review this new book in exchange for a free copy! Here's my review:

Yes! Another metaphysical book on pets! Author Jim 1537's "When Our Pets Leave Us: Animals in the Spirit World" explicitly intends to offer metaphysical knowledge on what happens to our pets once they pass away. It also seeks to provide comfort to those who are grieving the loss of their animal friends. In so doing, it introduces readers to the ideas that animals (1) lovingly accompany us throughout life in order to teach us spiritual lessons and that they (2) eventually transition into Spirit upon death, where they return to a state of blissful learning. "Pets" is definitely an introductory reader, and it is very well written. It addresses great questions many people ponder about once they bond with an animal through love; and, it does so from a place of genuine respect and compassion for the animal kingdom.

Simply put, "Pets" contributes to a topic that needs to be addressed much more in metaphysical literature than it currently is. To date much has been written on the value and maintenance of human-to-human relationships as well as human-to-environment relationships; but, there still remains a gap in literature on animals, their intrinsic value as God's creations, and their roles as our teachers in life. From reading this small, but sweet book, I feel more connected to my roommate's cat...and more compassionate when he starts meowing -- incessantly, mind you -- for food. Now, I see him and his beady little eyes as quite the companion, often wondering what is going on in his mind at any give moment. Which brings me to my next thought...

Something that I would love to see in a (hopefully soon) follow-up text is a deeper conversation about "how" exactly pets teach us, as well as more examples of the value they can hold for our lives on a personal level. Furthermore, readers can benefit from simple action steps on how we, in turn, can honor our animal teachers on a daily basis as well as on a global level!

Thank you, Jim1537 for so beautifully doing your part to bring a sacred love for animals into mainstream consciousness.

When I started reading this beautiful book on pets, I immediately thought of my pet Cindy Sue. Tears welled up in my eyes as I read the book. Jim 1537 put things in perspective for me as I began reading. As my divorce became final I saw her for the last time. I told her I loved her. She acknowledged me. Thanks to Jim 1537's book I know someday I will see her again in spirit! I recommend this book for anyone who has loved a pet. They will always be a part of our family. This is a great book and one that I am honored to be a part of and give my review.

After reading this book I felt a great sense of comfort knowing that my pet Linda, just like my loved ones are still living in spirit form when they go to the other side. This book is an easy/fast read that provided me with the answers I have been asking myself about my pets for years. I highly recommend it!

It is an honor to be asked to give a review of this new book and in exchange I received a free copy.

As the human in a multi-pet family, this book really touched my heart. I recently had to say goodbye to my beloved cat who was diagnosed with kidney failure. No one can take away the pain that comes next but knowing she is still with us in spirit really helps. This book speaks such truth about our beloved pets. Our pets do stay around as Jim1537 describes in the book, and I have seen flashes of her, and she has come to my daughter and myself in our dreams and we know she is here with us at times.

This short e-book can be so helpful when you are nearing the loss of a pet and even afterwards. Jim1537 reaffirms in very easy to understand terms, that our beloved pets are not gone, but just not in their physical body anymore. They have souls and are here to live out their lessons and help us. Our connection to them remains forever and knowing we will see them when we move on or even possible in this same lifetime is so reassuring.

I highly recommend this book. This book is a short read and so it can be very helpful to keep it near you and read it over and over again for reassurance and also to remind you that your pet, while in the spirit world, is also still connected to you and loves you to. It will definitely help you feel better.
