Hopes All Things, Endures All Things

Rated 4.00/5 based on 1 reviews
The connection between middle-aged Beatrice and young Sylvia is one far stronger than either woman understands. Their ages and the secrecy surrounding the younger woman should, Beatrice thinks, be enough to prohibit such an uncanny friendship. But as the bond strengthens, Beatrice finds herself pulled deeper into the younger woman's world and one secret in particular could rip them both apart.

About J.K. Latimer-Read

"I thought how unpleasant it is to be locked out; and I thought how it is worse, perhaps, to be locked in."

"For most of history, Anonymous was a woman."

"Writing is like sex. First you do it for love, then you do it for your friends, and then you do it for money."

"By hook or by crook, I hope that you will possess yourselves of money enough to travel and to idle, to contemplate the future or the past of the world, to dream over books and loiter at street corners and let the line of thought dip deep into the stream"

Review by: Noni Nelson on March 23, 2011 :
There is one thing wrong - very very wrong - with Hopes All Things, Endures All Things. It is, quite simply, not long enough. I didn't want it to end, I didn't want to leave those mismatched lovers, Beatrice and Sylvia so soon. What an exquisite peon of praise to the power of love. J.K. Latimer-Read's delicate touch kept a smile hovering on my lips despite the occasional tears in my eyes.
