About Josephine Harwood

When I was fresh out of high school back in the early Eighties, I wanted to be the next Pat Benatar or Joan Jett. I sang in a couple of bands, but neither Pat nor Joan had anything to worry about.

Despite my desire to become a famous rock singer, my heart had always held an even deeper passion for writing. When something touched me emotionally whether it was directly or indirectly, I had to write about it.
Fast forward to the present, I am married to my high school sweetheart, I am a family caregiver, and I am currently working on my third book.

I am very blessed with a life I didn't plan.

So, I hope you enjoy reading my books written the only way I know how to write...from my heart.
Sincerely, Josephine

Empathy is a well-written story of a caregiver, Delilah, and the son of one of her clients, Bryan. Bryan has a reputation of being a tyrant, but is he really? Or is he confused and misunderstood? Follow Delilah as she tries to care for her client and the family she comes to love, uncovering family secrets that have fractured the family. This author has a penchant for writing strong masculine characters and she does not disappoint this time. Empathy is well written and very interesting.

What a touching story. I don't always enjoy stories that deal with medical issues, as they hit close to home, but this was so worth it! Josephine Harwood took a difficult subject and dealt with it in such a gentle, and down-to-earth manner. The book deals with the struggles that we all go through with a sick or injured love one, and how it can bring out the best and worst in others! There were a lot of things going on all at once, but instead of feeling forced, the book read very naturally and smoothly with just the right touch of romance and adventure.

I could not put this book down, from page one I was hooked.
I kept reading and finished the book in one day. A wonderful story written so well you can visualize and feel each character. As the story unfolds my mind was completely engrossed in the caregivers tale.
This was just a heartwarming, true to life for many people who are caregivers. Truly a book everyone should read, whether you are a care giver or not. Looking forward to more stories from Josephine Harwood!

Ok let me first say, I'm not very much of a reader. So when I do read I like books that catch my eyes and empathy is a very well written book. I enjoyed reading it the love and compassion of people that are in it. It reminds me of when I was a caregiver years ago. I would recommend this book to all the caregivers to read it.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I just wanted to say is that I am not a big reader but this book Empathy is really great. I been a caregiver for almost twenty years and thus book hit a lot of emotions that I have been through and Josephine has captured alot of them and put them in words that made me think of all the trials and the happiness that goes with this field. There are plenty of twists that kept me wanting more. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

First I want to say that this book has touched me in so many ways and on so many levels ~ I can relate so well. Scenes were awesome and it was really easy to get into each character. Delilah has gone through so much and is able to share that with others in order to help them. I was compelled to read to the end so that I could find out how many of the characters turned out such as Delilah, April, Bryan, Josh, and especially Annie. I won’t give away the ending; you will want to keep on reading until the end! Keep up your touchingly honest books! ~ S Jackson, Author, When Angels Fly

I think this book is as good as many romance novels with some steamy moments, although it's much better written as it leaves more to your imagination. It has just the right amount of intrigue and spice to make you want to keep reading. Plus with the medical information, it would be a help to caregivers.

I absolutely devoured this authors first book "Dark Secrets" so when Empathy was released I knew I would purchase it. The subject of elder care causes some discomfort for me so I started reading it uneasily. This amazing author got straight to my heart in the most comforting way; directly. Amazing touch of truth mixed with a what's next storyline. Every character is brought to life in every chapter with amazing detail. The depth this author can take you in such an easy read is, well, exhilarating! Looking forward to her next book! She writes from her heart for our pleasure! Get this book!

Awesome book! If you have ever had the experience of being a caregiver this is a straight to the heart read. To steal the phrase, you can definitely "empathize" with Delilah and just feel the play of emotions she is going through. I could honestly see this book becoming a movie that would lead the audience through the different highs and lows and leaving with that "wow" feeling. Having been in the role of a caregiver this really hit home and was very touching. A must read. And while your at it read "Dark Secrets" by this author. Another must read. Can't wait for the next book! Keep up the good work.

First of all, I absolutely love the mention of Gemini and the band member and how it ties in to Starview, Texas in the book Dark Secrets! When I saw those parts, I relived Dark Secrets in my head as if I was watching a well loved movie! Truly perfect hon! I ran the myriad of emotions with this wonderful book! The scenes are so realistic and descriptive that I honestly felt I was living Delilah's life and not just watching a movie in my head as I read it! I felt and experienced every emotion Delilah did! I honestly could not put it down and neither could my sister who has cancer. Having been a caregiver myself, I could tell this was written from experience and from Jospehine's heart and that just made it all the more realistic, enchanting, and kept me reading it all in one sitting from beginning to end, not able to put it down for one second! I could really relate to the book in more ways than one.
Josephine Harwood is definately an author to watch! She is going to be the next #1 Best selling author of all time, I have no doubt about that! Thank you so much for your wonderful talent you have shared with the world! I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
