The story of this unique book is only a part of the value it brought, the investment of time to devour it from cover to cover was rewarded over and over.
Rich images, compelling vocabulary, and imaginative methods used to bring the points of the story to life, were a rare treat.
I now look forward to anything in the future from this author ...

Expect to be swept away!
The terrifying tsunami scene at the very beginning grabbed my attention, and before I stopped reading to take a break to get some things accomplished on a rare day off - I'd already been reading for almost 2 hours! Very seldom do I get that deeply interested in a book, but this one caused me to lose all sense of time.
A Thousand Natural Shocks is an emotional, uplifting journey of many lives that are all neatly woven together to offer different perspectives of the many relationships in life that are all too often taken for granted, as well as the meaning of life itself.
The author did a phenomenal job of providing specific details of the characters and the significant events in each of their lives, leaving nothing to be pondered. The plot is excellent, with an ending that seemed as natural as the "thousand shocks" themselves.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys quality storytelling and is ready to embark on their own spiritual journey themselves!
