Reviews of A Prisoner & a Poem for a Princess by Wayne T. Dowdy

Essays & More Straight From The Pen by Wayne T. Dowdy is a very scholarly glance at himself and the environment in which he is trapped. Prison can be as ugly as you want it to be but never beautiful. Yet, the essays are not aimed at criticism of the penal system but rather a reflection on how the author has grown, using the most detrimental of situations to enhance his life skills. Truly making lemonade from lemons, is an art and this prose and poetry is some of the best thirst-quenching beverage you will ever consume.
