The Gentleman Angler

The Gentleman Angler is a classic book on the art of angling, first published in 1726. Several later editions of the book were released. The book presents angling as an antedote to the challenges of the modern world and is politically incorrect. Much of the angling instruction within is still relevant today.I have edited the text from the 1st edition to make this book suitable for eReaders. More

I took this Gentleman book, hot from the electron press, and placed it with awe and reverence in my electron library
alongside its peers, Compleat Angler.and other tales of our recreational culture of Old England. I feel no guilt about trees being cut down, pulp being bleached, waterways polluted etc.
The book brings great joy and as ever, when you return to the ways of our forefathers new knowledge, a deep sense of artistic appreciation of nature and a reassurance that the true spirit of angling endures.
Sincerely, colleagues of the banks, a worthy book for the electron keep net. Bailiff Tom,
