She read about how little privacy was left in the world because of the cameras on satellites. She wrote something on a sheet and fastened it to her roof. It was a joke, really, the kind of tongue in cheek protest that might make a good story some day. Nobody would actually see it.

Except someone did see it.,

And it changed her life forever. More

About Robert Lubrican

I grew up in the fifties and sixties, and that is reflected in my books quite often. I spent twenty years in law enforcement, and traveled the world, which also can be seen in my books and stories. While the genre I write in is technically called erotic romance, what I actually write are stories with a plot, which include sexual behavior on the part of the characters. That is because most people's lives include sex and erotic gratification. And, since most people wonder about lifestyles that are sometimes called taboo, or forbidden, I write about them, occasionally too. I believe that two consenting adults know more about their own happiness than anyone else, and that even if they are mistaken, they have the right to make their own choices. I also believe that love is the key to making choices that will not turn out to be mistakes.
Many of my ideas involve coming of age, which usually takes place in the early to mid teens. Publishing standards, however, require that all characters in the published version of the book be over 18. That's not realistic, but it's just the way things are. If you purchase one of my books and would like to have the original version, unedited for age, send a copy of your receipt to and I'll happily provide you with a copy of the original at no additional cost. It is not illegal to write or possess such versions. It's just unpopular with certain special interest groups who desire to restrict your freedom.

The writing in this book is really very good, with interesting characters, good descriptions, appeals to emotion, and well-done dialogue. However, the structural flaws in the book make it much less interesting and entertaining than it could have been.

The major problem is that the author writes in that lazy, multiple-point-of-view style that completely removes any dramatic tension or reader immersion. The reader can't take the doubts of the POV characters seriously because the reader already knows what everyone in the scene is thinking.

Worse the author stops telling the story entirely for a page or two at a time to address the reader directly, in the first person, about some philosophical point that the author thinks is important but is immaterial to the story. These breaks in the story almost seem designed to break any reader immersion that might have accidentally accumulated to that point.

This book would have been a real winner if the author had selected a protagonist (either would do here, though the main female POV character is the most interesting) and told the story from that character's perspective. Uncertainty is a vital element in a developing love story, and the book as written had none, since the reader could literally read everyone's mind.

Another great story. Makes you think about what you do when you are outside. Are they watching? The characters were what you would expect, lonely and withdrawn. Finding love in really strange places. You know what will happen, but how?

Bob always finds a new way to bring people together. Even in the MOST indirect way! As so often he manages to bring a family together in his inestimable way of finding happiness. Recommended.

A really great love story. Two people who could use a little happiness found each other in an unusual way. Normal people who Bob make sure like a lot. The one you don't like our mid-level bureaucrats and politicians in fools but I repeat myself! Anyway the story has love sex adventure and and worry so it has it all read and enjoy. Oh yes since it is a Bob story someone gets pregnant. So what else is new. R. J.V.
