About the Author:

Tommy Muncie was born in Reading, Berkshire in 1983, and grew up mostly in rural Dorset. He read German and Spanish at Sussex University before changing direction and going to Kingston Maurward Agricultural College to study countryside management. Shadow’s Talent is his first published novel, four years in the making, and completed while undertaking volunteer work as a ranger in North Somerset. Tommy Muncie is also a member of the writing community and is known for his competition and workshop critiquing. Outside of writing he enjoys rock guitar playing, distance running and astronomy.

This is an excellent example of science fiction done *right*. Characters are believable, relationships and history are shown rather than told (with some small forgivable exposition dumps), and I was quite honestly surprised at some of the turns the plot took.

I'm looking forward to picking up the next book in the series!
