People Are Different

Rated 5.00/5 based on 2 reviews
Illustrated by children, People Are Different promotes a world view of tolerance. The Doctor Suess-like poem may be fun and silly, but the message is strong -- acceptance is the path to a better world. To accept and embrace those different from oneself is perhaps one of the most valuable social skills of all. The human family is stronger for its diversity. More

I just read this book to my 6 year old boy and 4 year old girl for the 1st. time... and they both LOVED it! The message is so beautiful. And the illustration is so quirky and fun. They laughed out loud when the little boy sang I Love Pancakes. Oh, and when the book was over, they asked me to read it again :-) ...that's like a standing ovation from the under 10 crowd!
