If you're looking at this book without having read the previous volumes then go back and start at the beginning, if you're already a fan I don't need to tell you how great this books is - because I can promise it is. However, if I actually started to tell you about the plot I'd tell too much as we're seamlessly thrown into the action started in the last voume.
I can promise, you will find the emotion, humour, action and excitement we've gotten used to in all her writing.

Ok, I'm sounding like a broken record. But Jordan L. Hawk is one of the most brilliant writers I have ever read. I love this series! Every one of them. Gray is an exceptionally finely crafted character.

If you haven't read the previous books this may be a **SPOILER**, so stop reading reviews and go read the series! The mixture of ancient intelligence, uber-powerful entity, and innocent little boy coming of age and discovering a world he's lived in for thousands of years, yet never truly saw before; the easy flow between these different aspects of Gray's personality; his dry humor, unapologetic hornyness, unapologetic disdain for mortal foolishness - all of this combines to create one of the most layered, interesting, and adorable characters I've ever met. I fell in love with Gray early on. And I was so happy and relieved when he not only lived, but became a permanent part of Caleb. Their interaction is priceless! Thank you again Jordan! Thank you thank you thank you! Please give us more of these characters.
