About Mark Elswick

Mark Elswick has been a teacher, tutor, sportswriter, college professor, and author. Despite overcoming a life-threatening auto accident in 1992, perseverance and dedication kept him in the writing game. The title of “author” didn’t come until late-2011 when Modern History Press (MHP) published his first book, “Padman,” a collection of 13 shorts stories. Afterward, he ventured onto the independent scene. That two-year chapter of his writing career also saw months of podcast hosting and public speaking while he was self-publishing three novels and some short stories. Elswick recently returned to MHP and his first biography is currently in the works.

Okay, this was the second book I picked up from Mark Elswick. I made the mistake of reading it in bed, and I thought my husband was going to smack me. I finally had to get up and move to the living room. I have a teen girl and have sent her father to the store for these. Now when I look at him I can only laugh wondering if he felt this same way. Mark has a knack for capturing the uncomfortable and making it hilarious. One of my new favorite authors.

My third read by Author Mark Elswick, once again, did not disappoint. Padman had me laughing with and at the dad with the dreaded mission down the isle of FH...that wall is intimidating even to seasoned buyers so Kudos....Padman... you are my superhero! Looking forward to the new writings by this author....coming soon...

The worst for me was when they had to do a price check...thought I would die! Thanks Els for putting this into words for future male generations to learn from!!!!

As a female, I never realized the tragic thoughts and emotions of the "forced into action Padman!" I believed I had already turned my husband into a strong "Padman" until it came to our daughter. This book is so honestly hilarious and a must read for every soon to be "Padman!" I loved the spectacular humor in the book - so absolutely "laughing out loud" funny! I think it should be a gift to all newlyweds and fathers of newly born daughters. At least they would be prepared and know there is a "Padman" support group! Absolutely wonderful, Mr. Elswick! Bravo!
