About Barrie Abalard

Barrie Abalard has led a rich life, working as a radio personality, technical writer, taxi driver, bank clerk, ad copy writer, and, at times, on the fringes of society. Since 1995, she has written short stories, novellas, and novels that explore various aspects of kink in both romances and erotica, and in various LBGTQ relationships. At the moment, she pays her mortgage and food bills by providing content for legal web sites (but she'd rather be writing stories!). Barrie is married with a grown child and lives in the Bluegrass area, along with one feisty but old and sweet 6 lb cat. She loves eating, running, reading, dry hot weather, walking in the sunshine, music, horse racing (Keeneland!), football, and fine wine, vodka, and exotic microbrews. Hard science and math fascinate her, along with the financial markets, current events, and politics.

Alice in Shtuppingland book trailer
A coming-of-age tale, set in the late 1970's. Alice, country born and raised, moves to Boston to pursue a career in writing. This semi-autobiographical story delivers warmth and heart, but also packs a punch. It chronicles a young woman's sharp learning curve and rapid collection of new and strange experiences...not all of them purely pleasurable.
