This beautifully told and illustrated book reminds children and all of us that our perceived weaknesses can actually wind up being our strengths. I think the message contained also assures each of us that God has made us different for a purpose. Percival's mother helped her little sloth to see himself as special and very valuable. How badly each little child needs to understand and believe this great truth! Well done Candace.

This is a heartwarming story about a little sloth who finds his own unique talent and in doing so gains the love and respect of his friends.
It illustrates nicely how children can find their own unique gifts and talents. As a teacher, I would also use this book to address the issue of teasing. It's a sweet engaging story that is sure to delight all ages!
