About R. McCullough

I am a photographer interested in supplying, where possible photographs; FREE OF CHARGE; for eBook author's free books and LOW cost to others (sometimes free for just image credit). I also do book covers and yes; I can often use Photoshop to modify pictures you supply.
I have recently published my first novel - Mana (Magic) in the Modern World. I have often wondered what the effects of magic returning to the world. Especially during these 'trying' times. So many people willing to do hurt, physical and mental, to people that in many (most?) cases they do not even know.
I think there would be Chaos at first - especially among religious 'fanatics'; those that say it is my way or NO way!

A very interesting read about possible consequences should magic, or Mana as it's called in the book, happens to be real. I thought the pictures added a great deal to the story and certainly enhanced my reading experience. Although there may be grammatical errors, (I am not the best judge on grammar), the story was written well enough to be both entertaining and easily kept my interest. Certainly enough that I will be contacting him about being a beta reader for his sequel.

Surprisingly I had read this eBook before on my boyfriends account. it was a suspenseful read I just simply could not put it down. The dangerous factors in the book were very visceral and kept me alert. Being a person who believes in magic this really lived up to my expectations. No spoilers****

Mana in the Modern World was a really good read. It took me through different levels of suspense and intrigue while painting a vivid picture of mystery and wonder.

The author's descriptions of the process of mana and how it effected the public gave me chills and added a sense of danger throughout the book. I especially loved how we seen how the return of mana helped bring certain people together while dividing others. Not to give too much away, this book was definitely worth the time spent reading and left me with my own perplexing thoughts on magic and whether or not it could be real.
