This is a fun book, it seems to be influenced by the style of Douglas Adams, without being a redo of any of his works. The universe, the 'off-world visitors' and the plot are well thought out; all interact well together.

There are a few errors that could be corrected by an editor, but unless you are an English snob, they are easy enough to read through.

The work is written in British English, and I had to look up 'allotment' ("a plot of land made available for individual, non-commercial gardening or growing food plants" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allotment_%28gardening%29 ) and several other terms, A glossary might be helpful.

I will be looking out for the promised continuing adventures in this universe.
