About Rosemary Rey

Rosemary Rey left her practice of law to write after rediscovering Romance, Erotica, and Contemporary Women's Fiction. She reads anything that is erotica and love. Her most favorite are story lines with plot twists. If there is a trilogy, a cliffhanger to make her buy the rest of the series must be there. And because she is a little obsessive, if there isn't a cliffhanger she will still read the rest of the series.

Rosemary has self published her first novel and is presently finishing the second book in the series; The Pentagon Group.

Rosemary lives in the Midwest with her husband and three children. Her life revolves around sports even in the off season. When sports aren't on, she is writing and reading erotica.

Rebound was a fantastic book!! Perla is a divorced woman that isn’t looking to find another relationship. Perla goes to see a doctor and experiences a charge of desire for him. Then she runs into Dr. Dashing as she and her best friend, Chelsea call him at her job at the fitness center and again out at a club. Matt Keene is attracted to her and whirlwind romances her.

Rebound was a nice change of pace where both Perla and Matt talk to each other about their feelings and not play games. It was refreshing to read a romance where the characters are adults and act like it. While they romanced, they didn’t spend a lot of time discussing their lives right away. They are slow to learn things about each other. Perla is independent woman not looking to lose herself in a relationship and Matt is a man that wants to give Perla the world if she’ll let him.

If I could give more than a 5 star rating, I would based on the end of the book. While not a cliff hanger in the traditional sense, it definitely left me wanting to read the next book.

I had the privilege of reading Rebound for free for an honest review. I did checkout other reviews prior to reading the book due to the author being new to me, and to get an insight to see what was in-store, and couldn't believe some of the negativity surrounding this book. Not allowing for other reviews to influence me, I started the book with an open mind and I was pleasantly surprised.

I agree the book is a slow pace compared to most reads, but for me I found this an added bonus, due to the time allowed for the author to give us a full in depth insight to the two main characters Perla and the dishy DR Matt. I loved the storyline, the chemistry between the two leads, and the sex scenes which are described in fine detail are scorching. I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and the twist at the ending left me opened mouthed, craving more. Can't wait to start book 2 Unbound, to see what the author has in store for Matt & Perla next.

I was gifted a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

WOW! Fantastic Read! Seriously in my top 10 of the year. As soon as I am done leaving reviews, I will be purchasing book two due to the cliffhanger. :)

Let me just start by saying this book was so well written I found myself absorbed in it and totally losing myself to the movie in my head! As a debut novel this author shows no signs of having problems with making her writing flow.

The book was RED HOT when it needed to be, emotional at all the right times, and then she threw out the plot twist! Matt is the perfect guy. Written so well that even if he wasn't your type you wanted him. Perla was cute and independent, and that is always a great trait in a female lead.

I seriously cannot wait to read more from this author. This is a CANNOT MISS READ!

4.5 stars - would have been 5 with better editing

OK First off it ends on a cliffhanger that had me in tears - so much so hubby made me a mug of hot chocolate and asked what was wrong!

I loved the whole story. It's a 2nd chance love story for both the female and male main characters. It's also got a heck of a lot of hawt smex and i mean HAWT! then there is the twist at the end ...

Be prepared with a box of tissues handy, a bottle of your favourite AND chocolate because the last chapter or sI found to be totally heartbreaking (no spoilers as to why)/

It's so nice to see a female character go from being so totally negative about herself image to rocking it and discovering there is so much more out there.

I can't wait to read book 2 (after xmas when I have some money again lol)

Highly recommended

I was offered this book in exchange of an honest review.
This was a 4* star read for me.

The story of Matt and Perla.

I found this to be a VERY descriptive read. A bit too much description if I am honest BUT that still didn't take from the enjoyment of this story. Yes, there was lots of sex but isn't that the whole point of an erotic book? Anyway, to me this was a good story, with characters I liked. Perla wasn't a pushover, in fact she was a bit too Alpha for my tastes as I like a Alpha male in a story. The sex comes quite quick in the story, but as Perla reasons, she has been single for 2 years after a crappy marriage and even shittier divorce so hey, what the hell, go for it! I don't go with the rebound thing though.. To long has passed between her divorce. She works hard holding down 4 jobs to pay her way, so why shouldn't she have something good... Some fun.

Matt is her doctor, which makes Perla doubt the legitimacy of the relationship. She thought it would be a one night stand... A fuck... albeit a good fuck. Fortunately she has a good friend, Chelz, who she can talk to that makes her realise how silly her logic is.

"You can’t expect to have a one night stand with a man who knows the results of your last pap smear.”

Yup, that's about right! lol.

To sum up, I found the story a bit slow to get going, and if you don't like too much sex in a story, then this isn't the book for you. The sex was hot and once the story kicked in I thoroughly enjoyed it. Character wise, they were believable and likeable and the twist I didn't see coming has left me dying to see what happens nex

Oh my word.... I have got to read the follow up. This story had everything that I enjoy. There was angst, a empowered but not bitter heroine and an alpha but not over the top hero. The book is at turns super romantic, sometimes bordering on mushy but then snap it is super raw and hot. It strikes a very nice balance and it is a read that I was happy to enjoy. I will be purchasing the second book because be warned, there is a cliff hanger and when it happens your heart is in your throat and lets just say... you want the next one.

I received Rebound by the author for an honest review. I am so happy that she approached me, because I loved this book! To me, the writing flowed very well and it kept a nice pace. I really didn’t want to put it down, but unfortunately sleep and work interfered with my reading time!!

I felt that Perla is a very strong heroine of this story. She is recently divorced and she is doing what she can to be independent and to get out from under her divorce after having to start completely over. When she meets Matt, he stirs something inside of her. The main part of the story initially is their developing relationship. The sex scenes were great and I love how Perla took control often. Without getting into much detail, Perla is determined to keep her independence while exploring her budding relationship with Matt. I do like the fact that it brings up her concerns about how fast things are moving between them. I enjoyed “watching” their relationship grow. I was rooting for Perla and Matt. But as things unraveled, I felt so angry right along with her. When I get attached to a book and its characters, I feel their emotions right along with them and I definitely felt emotions throughout.

This is the first time I have read a book by this author. I like how descriptive she is with her writing. This book was written in a first person POV. When I read, I like to be visualizing the story as I go and this book allowed me to do so. I’ll be purchasing the next book, Unbound and I look forward to the continuation of Perla’s story. I, for one, am on #TeamPerla!

Thank you again Rosemary Rey for a wonderful read!

This book follows the journey of one woman as she finds unexpected love after a messy divorce.

First off, I guess I should give my reasons for not giving this book a higher rating. Although the story was wonderful, I did find quite a few errors with spelling and word usage. Certain words and phrases were overused in paragraphs and even within the sentences making parts of the scenes redundant or confusing.

Honestly, with a good edit, this book would easily earn highest marks in my book. The characters are realistic, the emotion is raw, and the relationship between Perla and Matt is compelling. The sex scenes are, for the most part, well written and they convey a wealth of serious emotion, often missing from erotic fiction. I can truly feel Perla’s emotions as I read through the book and I loved every minute of it.

I was completely blown away by the conclusion of the story though. Never in a million years did I expect things to take the turn they did. I’m not saying the author didn’t set up for the twist, because she did but the setup was so subtle that I never saw it coming. By the end of the book, I felt like I’d run a marathon and I honestly didn’t want to stop. I will be looking forward to reading the next installment; I have to find out what happens next.
