Reviews of Spirits of the Woods and Other Stories by Randal Doering

This collection has a lot of original stories, and ones that make you think. I'm a sucker for weird tales that are written in conversational style, and this anthology has plenty of those. My favorites were Leafy Green Vegetables, Phantom Terrorist, and The Smell of Success. Recommended.

Randal has a way of creating interesting and inventive scenarios and populating them with wonderful characters. I'm always excited to find out what happens. I highly recommend this collection of stories (and really, any of his works) to anyone! Be prepared to journey to many exotic locations; the stories will transport you all over the world. Leafy Green Vegetables is a personal favorite. Made me want to go out and start gardening!
