Eric has always been captivated by science fiction and fantasy ever since he was a child. There is never a day in which he does not spend time dreaming up worlds or characters to expand his ideas on these genres. His influences include; Robert E. Howard, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and Michael Moorcock.
Although there are many influences in his writing, he always strives to create something fresh or put a different twist on an old tale. Pacing is important to his style; you will rarely see dialogue that is irrelevant to the story, or go too long before the characters are thrown into another conflict.
Besides writing, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and three cats. Other hobbies include reading, painting, and drawing: his attempts at painting and drawing have also destroyed many pieces of paper, but he still tries.
