About Pamela Love

One day when I was about ten, I combed the library shelves for something new. After a careful search, I decided that I’d read every good book ever written. What was I going to do now? I was almost in tears. That’s when I decided to become an author—to write the books and stories I wanted to read.

Of course, I was wrong about there being no more good books. During my high school years I used to set my alarm an hour earlier than necessary so I could get through them all. I’m still getting up before dawn every day, but now often it’s to read my own work before I submit it.

In addition to writing, I’ve also worked as a teacher and in marketing. Down East Books published my picture books A Loon Alone, A Cub Explores, A Moose’s Morning, and Lighthouse Seeds. Scholastic Children’s Press published my easy reader, Two Feet Up, Two Feet Down. My stories, poems, and plays for older children have appeared in such magazines as Cricket, Highlights for Children, and Jack and Jill. My first novel is The Pegasus Potential. It’s a children’s fantasy adventure that’s e-published by and currently available through Smashwords, with other formats to follow.
